Read this first

macOS will say it is damaged. It is not.

No Apple signature yet, so macOS quarantines the download — either “damaged” or “the developer cannot be verified”, depending on where it stops you. Both are the missing signature, not the file. Unzip, put the plugins here:

VST3	`~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Khorlo.vst3`
Audio Unit	`~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Khorlo.component`

Then paste this into Terminal:

xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Khorlo.vst3 ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Khorlo.component

Safe to run if you only installed one. Restart your DAW — Logic rescans Audio Units only at launch.

Windows warns too

SmartScreen: More info → Run anyway. Copy Khorlo.vst3 into C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\. A blank window means Microsoft’s WebView2 runtime is missing.

Both platforms complain. Certificates are bought, not coded.

Presets may not survive

The format is still moving. Note down anything you like.

Sessions are not safe

Parameter IDs can still change. Do not use this on work you need back.
